busy writes "I must say I am very disappointed in the lack of braveness on the part of those in authority to make a decision to postpone the fireworks to Sunday evening, the official in case of rain date. It rained hard for 3 and 1/2 hours and did not stop till around 9 PM. The air was heavy with moisture, and everything was soaked. But they went a head anyway and did it, even though they knew the conditions were not the best. Many people went home and tried to watch it on TVs channel 10. Very hard to see as the smoke hung in the moisture laden air. They even had to stop for a bit to let, or try to let the air clear up. Visually it was very poor. That "show" cost a lot of money to put on. They knew the forecast for the rain date was really good, so, why did they not post pone it? People are having to clean ash off their boats due to the conditions that were in place during the fireworks. Come on people, check the forecast, if its going to rain hard for hours before 9:30 and the next day is much better, post pone it.
