comment on the hudder blog post

StuffAnonymous writes "you know you have a pretty poor attitude where the "hudders" are concerned. Not all people that are on hud and recieve benefits are slugs or low-lifes. the program is designed to help people in need of services. granted alot of them dont want to work and want to lay around but some do not. some that get benefits dont make enogh money to live on and that extra really does help IE: food stamps and wic for the kids.  so get off your soap box and stop slamming everyone who is on the system.my daughter happens to get services for her and her daughter .  It really helps them get by especially with the food stamp help. I know at least they can eat good meals on what is provided. "

And those of us that work so that we can eat a good meal, and are working two jobs (both parents) to support our children, pay taxes - don't feel sorry for your daughter at all.  She probably was too young to have the child she has and now needs to get a job to support her "oops".

So don't get on here and tell us taxpayers to get off of our soap box - tell your daughter to use protection, so we the taxpyers are not paying for another child that your daughter can not afford!

Why don't you support your daughter and grandchild? Why do you think it's ok for the taxpayers to support them?

Her daughter is working, if you read into the post. So she pays taxes too. I personally dont have a problem with people who use the services they themselves pay for. Yes we also help. But wouldnt you want that service/help in place if you needed it? I would. And NO I dont get any services. But I know some that do, and they truly need it. I wouldnt be friendly with people that were slobs and were users of the system. So lighten up.

the majority of hudders dont get on the system for temporary help and needless to say once your getting your rent and food paid for what gives anyone the incentive to try harder. i too have worked 2 jobs most of my life and three and times. glad to know you rest easier knowing she and her daughter have good meals to eat. there were many days my refrigerator was nearly empty, macaroni with butter, pancakes and soup made with barely bones is what filled our bellies. the system is a mess and we all live with less to take care of the slugs who live off of our hard work. my mom took care of my kids so i could work extra jobs on her time off, i watch my neices and nephews kids so they dont have to pay sitters to work whenever i can help. most of these hudders help their kids out by teaching them how to abuse the system generation after generation. i'll bet your daughter has a lot more time on her hands to enjoy with her baby than we did. temporary hud services do no happen, they are life long. changes have to be made!

Take a good look at who is really on the system.  Alot have the latest cell phone, expensive clothes and some even drive great cars.  I stood in line the other day at Pric Chopper and watch someone pull out their benefit card and pay for 200 dollars of food and it was all top notch items.  She had at least 10 tatoos that could be seen that weren't covered up.  I could just imagine how many more she had and then drive away in a nicer car then I own. I have worked for the last 35 years and will need to work at least another 17 years before I can start getting my "free" money back.  But by then to support everyone else we will have to work to the age of 80.  When the abuse of system stops then you might  see the attitudes change.
