Anonymous writes "Fran, on Tuesday night when Tom DeCastro and Dave White prepare to cast their votes to give Mr. Crist an unwarranted $4260 raise, I feel you should print this post out and read out loud the words they have spoken in the past. Use their own words against them and force them to justify their sudden change of heart. Reading these comments will humiliate them in front of the audience and the press, and expose them for the hypocrites that they are.

First, Tom DeCastro made this comment to the Syracuse Post Standard in May of 2009 when campaigning for election to the board:

"We are going to have to tighten our belts . . . and hold the line with staff salary schedules. The present economic climate does not support pay raises, therefore I would not support raises at this time. If money becomes available, I would back the re-establishment of programs lost in the past. It would be foolish to tax our financially strapped citizens to to increas other's salaries."

Second, Dave White made the following comment in May of 2008 in reaction to Maggie Tiballi awarding five-figure raises to Colucci, Chamberlain and Crist:

"The average salary of the people paying the bills is not $100,000. Once in a while, you have to think of them."

Dave, along with his minion Sean Madden, voted against raises for administrators and teachers a total of seven times during the 2007-08 school year, but by July 1, 2009, they decided that 3% raises across the board for the people with the highest pay and smallest workload was completely justified. They had the power to right the wrongs that Maggie Tiballi committed, the injustices that they had spoken out and voted against, but instead, they decided to pursue a more hypocritical and destructive path.

Fran, if during executive session, Dave, Sean, Tom and Jim come to the "consensus" that the raise is warranted, I urge you to point out these facts in such a public forum prior to their theft of taxpayer dollars. Maybe they will reconsider their decision in order to save face. Jim Tschudy has not been shy about making it known that his only purpose in being on the board is to dole out pay raises and suffocate the homeowners with increased taxes, but Dave, Sean and Tom have said otherwise in the past and they need to be reminded of their past attitudes.

One thing is for sure, we need to pull out all the stops to prevent Bill Crist from receiving this outrageous and completely undeserved raise. He has done absolutely nothing positive for the children or taxpayers of this school district and is in fact on the warpath to destroy the community. He knows the harm he is doing but he does not care.

Agenda item #1 for Fran when he takes control of the board this July should be to fire this man and his other completely incompetent lackeys, Colucci, Chamberlain and Myles.

When dealing with people like Bill Crist, Pete Colucci, Cathy Chamberlain, Pete Myles, Dave White, Sean Madden, Jim Tschudy and Tom DeCastro, we are dealing with 8 individuals who have absolutely not one shred of ethics, integrity or morals between them. The only thing they know is self-interest. Knowing their mindset, I think this is how Fran should approach them. Humiliate them and threaten their chances of reelection and future control. Hopefully they will therefore react the way the community wants them to."
